Are you feeling like you’re stuck or just lacking enthusiasm and motivation in your day to day life? Maybe you’re deficient in creativity.
What is creativity? Creativity is the ability to generate ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others. It’s the tendency to have a vision of what can be, regardless of what is.
Are you creative? Do you need to get more creative? Here’s three reasons why you might need to boost your creativity:
1. You need some new stimulation in your life. It happens. You find that you’re doing the same thing over and over most days and there’s nothing going on in your life that gets you excited. Increasing your creativity can open up a whole new world of interests and activities.
2. You need to communicate your ideas and values. Communication with others includes so much more than just what you say or how you say it. Maybe you’re having difficulty getting a message across to coworkers, family members or your social media network. Boosting your creativity can give you insight and help you come up with a variety of ways to be heard and understood.
3. You need to solve some problems. The way you’ve been going about fixing that pressing issue just isn’t working and you’re at a loss in terms of resolving it. Heightened creativity can take you beyond your usual problem solving techniques and open your mind to brand new solutions and possibilities! My motto is “There’s always a way.” Creativity allows you to find out what it is.
